CERAMIC AND GRAPHENE COATING PROTECTION FOR THE CAR-OWNER THAT CARES

Ceramic and graphene coatings can be applied to your vehicle’s paint, glass, wheels and plastic trim surfaces. These liquid polymer-based coating products create a very hard, highly hydrophobic physical protective barrier on your vehicle.

Originally developed for the space and oil industries, meaning there is a great deal of research behind them, ceramic and graphene coatings for cars, boats and motorcycles have become incredibly popular in NZ and elsewhere because of the many benefits they offer vehicle-owners.

Here at VIP Car Care, we use only the best quality ceramic and graphene coatings, but like any coating - their successful use relies on proper surface preparation - something we believe we’re the best at.

WHY MY VEHICLE NEEDS A CERAMIC OR GRAPHENE COATING?

The main reason is that ceramic and graphene coatings offer you a long-term solution to protecting the paintwork on your vehicle from the ravages of New Zealand’s harsh UV and inclement weather. While waxing and polishing can help your car look great for a couple of months, good quality ceramic and graphene coating results last for as long as 5 years.

Not only do our protective coatings help keep your car, boat or motorcycle looking as good as new, but they also protect your vehicle from elements such as UV, dust, rain, mud, grime, tree sap and bird droppings ‒ all of which can have a detrimental effect on your vehicle’s paintwork and reduce its value significantly.

Ceramic and graphene coatings were originally designed for the space and oil industries so there are massive amounts of research behind these products.

DIFFERENCES

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN CERAMIC COATINGS & GRAPHENE COATINGS?

It is more likely that you would have heard of ceramic coating (or nano-ceramic coating) over graphene coating as ceramic coating is more popular since it has been around longer, has a lower price point and is more readily available. Think of graphene coating as ceramic coating on steroids. It is harder (graphene is the hardest substance known to man), more hydrophobic, typically longer lasting and is thinner and even shinier than ceramic coating.

These coatings are similar in that they both offer a slick, glossy finish and have the same method of preparation and application.

We will not open/clean inside glovebox and closed storage compartments unless requested.
We do not remove, install or clean child seats.
Includes two seat rows. An additional $25 will be charged for each additional seat over two rows.

Engine bay pressure wash, detail & air dry
Headlight restoration (shallow) - cut, polish & ceramic coat - Removes swirl marks & light oxidation from plastic lights. Will not remove all levels of oxidation & exterior lense damage - per pair
Headlight restoration (deep) - Wet sand, cut, polish & graphene coating. This option involves a full sand back and restoration of exterior headlight lenses. Removes oxidation, yellowing, surface crazing and scratches - per pair
Panel watermark removal - per panel
Taillight cut, polish and ceramic coat. - Removes swirl marks & light oxidation from plastic lights. Will not remove all levels of oxidation & exterior lense damage
Tar removal and decontamination - Remove Tar, Sap, Iron & other types of contaminants from painted and glass surfaces
Wheel curbing repair, includes painting - per wheel
Wheels-off & underguard detail - Remove wheels, clean contamination & dirt from all wheel surfaces & underguards. Remove tar and rubber residue from guard liners & underguard components. Hand polish painted calipers. Protect underguards. Ceramic coat wheels & calipers.
Windows waterspot removal - machine polish to remove waterspots from exterior glass, apply sealant. Per window

Boot Carpet Shampoo - Removes stains from boot carpet
Fabric seats & door cards, shampoo & seal. Removes stains from interior fabric seats (excludes alcantara/suede) - per seat
